Eligibility

This program is open to all the citizens of countries recognized by Malaysia regardless race, religion, gender and age. The participants is allowed to bring along their spouse, children who are unmarried and below the age of 18.

    Financial Requirement

Successful participants are required to comply with the following financial criteria upon receipt of the "conditional approval" :

  1. Age below 50 years old
    1. Open a fixed deposit account of RM300,000
    2. After a period of one year, the participant can withdraw up to RM240,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education, medical and local investment.
    3. Must maintain a minimum balance of RM60,000 from the second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this program.
  2. Age above 50 years old
    Can either choose to :
    1. Open a fixed deposit account of RM150,000 OR
    2. Show proof of monthly off- shore income of RM10,000 such as pension scheme.
    3. After a period of one year, participants who fulfill the fixed deposit criteria can withdraw up to RM90,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education, medical and local investment.
    4. Participants must maintain a minimum balance of RM60,000 from the second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this program.
  3. Participants interested stay in Sarawak
    1. Must be over 50 years old.
    2. Single participant must have RM7000 in off shore income and open a fixed deposit account of RM100,000.
    3. Married participant must have RM10,000 in off shore income and open fixed deposit
      account of RM150,000.
    4. No withdrawal of fixed deposit is allowed.

    Insurance coverage

Participants must process a medical insurance coverage from any insurance company that is valid in Malaysia. This may be waived for older applicants who are denied coverage because of their age. All applicants are required to have a medical examination in Malaysia. Both of these conditions are met after the letter of " conditional approval" is issued.

    Restrictions

Participants should not participate in activities that can be considered as sensitive to the local people and threat to the security of the country.
